Great communication skills make ALL the difference!

All too often the workplace is filled with tension. Animosity can seep into the department and rot away the morale, damage the culture, and keep people from wanting to come to work. 

Problems with retention, sick leave, retirement and other organizational dynamics can often be traced to communication issues. 

 

THE COURSE

 

The 3-Day course will address:

  • Effective Listening Strategies

  • Managing and Resolving Conflict; Tactics for De-Escalation

  • Healthy Ways to Avoid Arguments

  • Strategies for Communicating with Various Personality Types

  • Fight, Flight, Freeze, and Fawn: Brain Science Behind Your Communication

  • Rapport Building and Customer Service

  • Fear and Resistance Related to Communication

  • Improving Emotional Intelligence for More Effective Communication

 

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE

 

Each participant will receive:

  • A bound workbook that includes principles of communication and scripts for a variety of situations

  • 24 hours of training

  • Program certificate

 

PROGRAM COST

 

The 3-Day course tuition is $525.00 per person. This includes all workbooks, certificate, morning refreshments, and snacks.


MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Joe Serio, Ph.D., is a popular and entertaining trainer who delivers insightful and thought-provoking material. His content is rich in practical, proven techniques for effective communication with a wide variety of personality types. Joe holds a doctorate in criminal justice with a specialization in leadership and organizational behavior.

He is the author of books on emotional intelligence, fear and resistance, resilience, time management, public speaking, and others. His communication skills have been tested in a wide variety of settings including growing up in a large family, driving a taxi in New York, investigating the Russian mafia in the former Soviet Union, living in China, and working in government agencies.


PARKING:
Training will be held at The Development Center in Classroom 1. Parking is available at the front of the building. Overflow parking is at the rear of the building. If you park in the overflow parking, follow the sidewalk on the north side of the building to the front.
