Get Things in Order Puzzle Pieces Organize Your Life or Work

There’s method to the madness.

Since the beginning of the year you’ve been exploring all kinds of things: the positive side of last year, conversations and relationships that needed repairing, deciding what you believe is possible, clearly stating your priorities, and setting SMART goals. I hope you’re been discovering some interesting things.

That work is the foundation for what’s coming in a couple of weeks.

Now you’re in preparation mode: creating an environment that is conducive to getting what you want.

Last week, you did some quick organizing: straightening your closet, your work space at home, and your junk drawers.

This week it’s important to do the same at work. Go through files, get rid of paper and books you may not need, bring some organization to your stack of business cards, and get rid of old office supplies you aren’t using or pens that don’t work anymore.

Identify the things you use on a regular basis at work and see if you can bring them within arm’s length to your desk. The less you have to get up while you’re working in order to find something the better.

It’s a lot easier to set yourself up for success when you’ve reduced the clutter and you know where everything is.
